About Competition
Architectural competitions are a great way to raise global awareness and embrace meaningful changes.
Many standards of normalcy have changed considerably over the last few years, especially regarding how we read; the sources for reading; the way we interact in academic spaces… While academic study spaces were always there, technology; web libraries, and pandemics had a significant impact on them. Students are less motivated to be present in these spaces. This design competition is seeking your thoughtful solutions to bring ideas for vibrant and fun ideas, to reading spaces that will attract students.
Competing students, interior designers, and emerging architects are encouraged to submit an innovative and unique design for a ‘cafe bookstore’. It is designed with the intention to be a desirable space for students.
The site is your choice, but it should be specific to the grounds of a university/or college, in your town.
