About Competition
“CLASSICS the Small Luxury Design Award 2026” will be held from Monday, November 3, 2025. We are looking for handkerchief designs from all over the world.
CLASSICS the Small Luxury was founded in 2003 with the concept of “secret luxury in the palm of your hand.” Technologies and techniques that have been passed down by utilizing the know-how cultivated by our parent company, Blooming Nakanishi, which was founded in 1879. We are a handkerchief specialty store that combines modern sensibilities to create original designs for each season.
To date, we have released handkerchiefs in collaboration with many artists both domestically and internationally. By infusing the power of design, we seek to expand the new appeal and possibilities of handkerchiefs. In addition to supporting the activities of artists, we hope that design will become more intimate for people, and since 2020 we have launched the “CLASSICS the Small Luxury”. Design Award ” was founded.

We do not care about companies, organizations, individuals, groups, age, gender, occupation, or nationality. Entries must be unpublished domestically or internationally. Those who agree to commercialize the winning work.

・Prize 30,000 yen (approximately US$199)
・Commercialization of design,CLASSICS the Small LuxurySold at directly managed stores, online shops, and other retailers.
*Prizes will be paid after deducting taxes such as withholding tax and special income tax for reconstruction.
*Amounts shown in dollars are calculated at the time of publication. Prizes will be calculated from the amount stated in Japanese Yen based on the exchange rate at the time of payment. (For applications from outside Japan)
