About Competition
The Goldreed Industrial Design Award (GIDA) is an international event that celebrates exceptional design and its contributions to building a more sustainable and harmonious future for people and the planet. With eight broad categories, GIDA 2024 spans the major areas of design applied to both private and public life, including manufacturing, communication, and technology.
Designers, studios, companies, and public/private institutions of any nationality are invited to participate. Both existing products and original concepts are welcome. A generous prize pool of 4,300,000 CNY (approximately 550,000 Euro) will be awarded to more than 60 outstanding entries, with a first prize of 1,000,000 CNY (approximately 127,000 Euro).

About the Organizer
Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute (XIDI) – As the major platform to promote the “Five-One Project” (including Hebei International Industrial Design Week, Golden Reed Industrial Design Award, Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute, Xiongan Green Building Exhibition Center, and Xiongan International Design Eco-city) in Xiongan New Area, Xiongan Future Industrial Design Institute (XIDI) will start a new journey with new missions and join hands with the enterprises, institutions, social organizations, colleges and universities, and experts in the world of industrial design in facilitating the large-scale, professional, high-end and international development of the industrial design in the New Area so as to provide strong support for the building of “Xiongan quality” and set up an example in the country.
Desall (media partner) is an open innovation platform that brings together renowned brands with a community of designers and creatives from different cultural backgrounds and a variety of creative industries. The platform facilitates participatory design and project development through customised competitions organised, run and promoted by Desall in collaboration with its clients. Participants in the competitions are part of Desall’s growing community, a creative powerhouse with over 150,000 members, able to deliver high-quality solutions for every stage of product development desired by clients – from concept to product design, from naming to packaging. Through its sister company Factory08, Desall has also been offering product industrialisation services since 2018. The focus is on the engineering and development of industrial automation systems that meet the latest standards of Industry 4.0 technology. To date, Desall has launched more than 250 activities and fostered the emergence of more than 42,000 creative projects.
