[Text as submitted by architect] The designers met the client on a sunny afternoon in Saigon at an old apartment complex in Thao Dien, wondering why the client chose this old, rundown apartment instead of a new, modern, and fully equipped living area. While walking around the house, the sunlight and views of a dynamic Saigon really inspired a lot of design concepts for them.

With the criteria of maximizing visibility, light and natural ventilation, the designers entered the project with a spirit full of passion and the desire to bring the most impressive but gentle change to the apartment. Therefore, the common spaces are arranged to connect with each other, facing directly to the Saigon River.

The appropriate arrangement of solid and empty areas also directly affects ventilation, bringing new vitality. Furthermore, the natural element from the additional arrangement of the garden and green wall is the point connecting the main spaces, creating a relaxing feeling, like living in a resort villa.

To be more specific, the designers chose minimalist features for vast sections to maximize space efficiency. At the same time, each piece of furniture appearing in the house has been considered and selected to create harmony as well as bring interesting highlights to each space.

In the end, respecting and promoting the potential values of the space here has brought a balance between the interior space and existing features, bringing comfort and peace to the users every time they return after a long day at work.
