Practice Description
Hoii Design, founded in 2018 in Shanghai, is a comprehensive design service company offering industrial product design, furniture design, installation art design, interior design, brand strategy, and art direction services. They are neither confined by style nor restricted by conventional principles. They go beyond merely providing solutions; they act as a bridge between clients and users, envisioning their future relationships and building sustainable connections and approaches.
The Chinese name “何以” embodies a sense of uncertainty, prompting questions like “Why?” “How?” and “With what?”. When a question is raised, it leads to a series of explorations. The answer gradually takes shape through ongoing dialogue between the client and Hoii. It encompasses a unique perspective, innovative design concepts, and a blend of functionality and aesthetics. While addressing questions, Hoii Design places greater emphasis on the connection between the work and the space’s visitors, the users of the products, and the viewers of the visual elements. They focus on the emotional expression that arises from their interactions.
