Overview
The UABB curatorial team invites creators to imagine the future of Hetao through innovative, AI-generated vision videos. Hetao, officially the Shenzhen–Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone, is developed under the concept of “one river, two banks” and “one zone, two parks,” and serves as the site of UABB (Shenzhen), showcasing cutting-edge works in AI, technology, and art by local and international experts. The competition explores creative interpretations of Hetao as a strategic hub in the Greater Bay Area, emphasizing interconnectivity, innovation, and inclusiveness.
As Hetao’s first major technological infrastructure, the Hong Kong–Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP) focuses on six pillar industries, including AI and Data Science, positioning artificial intelligence at the core of the zone’s development. By using AI to envision AI’s future home, the competition creates a meta-dialogue that democratizes futurology. Through movement, sound, and narrative, creators are encouraged to build immersive stories that express interconnected systems, forward-looking urban and architectural innovation, and a culturally vibrant, inclusive environment for global technology talent.
Creators are encouraged to study the background, the vision, and the needs for the Hetao development and create a video that comes across
1) interconnectivity – how tangible and intangible elements could be connected, physically and socially, between the Hong Kong park and Shenzhen park of Hetao?
2) innovation – how architectural and urban design in the future Hetao innovate and differentiate from common typologies, aesthetics and atmosphere?
3) inclusiveness – how does Hetao serve as a culturally vibrant, inclusive and social hub for technology talents coming from all parts of the globe?
