Participants in the Product & Industrial Design Category are expected to create innovative electrically powered kitchen appliances or cooking systems that incorporate artificial intelligence to enhance precision, ease of use, and culinary creativity. Entries in the Product & Industrial Design Category might include intelligent cooking robots, automated food preparation equipment, intelligent cooking utensils, or smart kitchen devices for home and commercial applications. - Architectural & Interior Solutions Category
Participants in the Architectural & Interior Solutions Category must propose forward-thinking kitchen spaces specifically designed to accommodate new cooking technologies and automation. Entries within the Architectural & Interior Solutions Category should explore advanced kitchen layouts, modular design solutions adaptable to changing technology needs, the use of smart materials, and architectural integrations explicitly created for robotic and intelligent appliances. - Design Strategy & Service Ideas Category
The Design Strategy & Service Ideas Category invites participants to submit original concepts for digital ecosystems that connect kitchen devices with users, community-based cooking solutions, innovative service models for food preparation, storage, and consumption, and novel subscription or interactive cooking systems. Entries in the Design Strategy & Service Ideas Category should offer new approaches to culinary experiences, shaped significantly by digital connectivity and advanced cooking technologies. - User Experience & Interface Ideas Category
The User Experience & Interface Ideas Category encourages participants to present thoughtfully designed digital user experiences, including intuitive control interfaces for kitchen technology, augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) cooking assistants, and visually engaging digital recipe and food preparation tools. Entries in the User Experience & Interface Ideas Category must prioritize accessibility, intuitive interaction, and user-friendly design to enhance user interaction with smart kitchen technology.
All submitted entries for the Future Kitchen Design Awards must align clearly with BOTINKIT’s vision for the kitchen of the future: a seamless integration of advanced kitchen technologies, precise automation capabilities, and thoughtful, user-centered design principles. Participants are encouraged to emphasize aspects including ease of use, sustainability, minimal maintenance, and superior user experiences, making cooking not only simpler but also more enjoyable and inspiring.
Winners of the Future Kitchen Design Awards will receive significant international recognition and substantial benefits, including cash prizes (€1,000 awarded to the first-place winner and €500 awarded each to the second and third-place winners), opportunities for global exhibition of winning works, professional publication features, invitations to an exclusive awards gala event, and potential internship opportunities with BOTINKIT to gain hands-on experience in advanced kitchen technology innovation.
