Information

Life. Spaces. Buildings. The Festival of the New European Bauhaus is back!

The European Commission organizes the third edition of the Festival of the New European Bauhaus on 9-13 June 2026, in Brussels (Belgium) and around the world!

First held in 2022, the Festival is a biennial event that invites people to celebrate and take stock of the progress of the New European Bauhaus, the European Commission initiative that transforms our daily life through sustainable solutions for the built environment and lifestyles. It combines sustainability with good design, inclusivity, accessibility, and affordability, respecting each community’s places, cultural heritage, and culture.

The Festival is based on four key pillars:

  • Forum – a platform for engaging discussions and the exchange of ideas surrounding the New European Bauhaus.
  • Fair – a laboratory and exhibition, highlighting projects and prototypes that align with and support the core values of the New European Bauhaus.
  • Fest – a celebration that unites culture, art, and conviviality, serving as a moment of collective rejoicing, honoring freedom of expression and embracing radical, innovative, and disruptive ideas and visions.
  • Satellite events – initiatives and events organized independently in Brussels and around the world, aligned with the New European Bauhaus values.

Get involved! Organize a Satellite Event anywhere in the world and be part of the Festival.

The 2026 edition of the Festival is calling for innovators, designers, and change-makers from all across the world to join the celebration. Are you organizing an event (online, on-site, or hybrid) that takes place between 9–13 June 2026 and aligns with the New European Bauhaus values of sustainability, inclusion, and beauty? Then submit your application. The call for Satellite Events is open until 31 December 2025.

All Satellite Events will be featured on our online platform with key information (dates, location, names of organizers, agenda, links to the event website and social media). Selected Satellite Events will be promoted through the social media channels of the New European Bauhaus and in live connections during the Festival.
