Prof Gurdev visited the CEPT studio and the time problem ended with a general discussion with the models along with their original paintings. The discussion focused on the nature of abstraction, which is true to the painting. The students explored various model-making materials, from papers to wires, meshes, clay, pop, acrylic, etc.
The students of CEPT University were introduced to the time problem that focused on converting a painting into a three-dimensional composition using at least three distinctly different ways of making models.
A joint studio between Faculty of Architecture-CEPT University & School of Environmental Design & Architecture-Navrachana University is being conducted. The studio’s title is ‘Abstraction,’ focusing on a form-finding process that starts with an image. It is converted into an architectural object through various stages of abstraction and transformation.
