Practice Ideology

Atelier Ingarden was founded in Hangzhou in 2021. The studio’s ideology was influenced by the direction of CAA’s School of Architecture and the thought about the Chinese garden of its founding dean, 2012 Pritzker Prize-winning architect Wang Shu. The practice focuses on the traditional Chinese aesthetic idea of “architecture, village, and city are all gardens” and attempts to complete the architectural design with “basic construction” as the main method in various environments in China.
