Costis Skroumbelos
Costis Skroumbelos was born in Athens, Greece, in 1955. He studied architecture at the Architectural Association (AA), London (1974-1979), and urban planning, history, and theory of architecture at the Graduate School of the AA with a scholarship (1979-1981).
In 1983 he worked in Greece with the architect Elias Skroumbelos, where he became a partner in 1995 at the firm “E. Skroumbelos, J. Vikelas, C. Skroumbelos and Associates, Metron.” In 1999 he founded his own firm, CSKR Architects and Associates.
His design portfolio comprises studies for airports, universities, hospitals, congress halls, museums, housing complexes, urban developments, hotels, and office buildings master plans. Some of the most notable projects include the New Archaeological Museum at Pella, the New Theatre of Larissa city, the Archaeological Museum of Chalkis, the Olympic Sailing Centre in Agios Kosmas, the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) for the Athens 2004 Olympic games, construction design and museological study for the New Acropolis Museum, the Myrtini and Anemi urban developments, the Kosmopois Centre development, and more.
Phivos Skroumbelos
Phivos Skroumbelos was born in London, United Kingdom, in 1982. He studied architecture at the Architectural Association (AA), London (2000-2006), and was awarded the AA Prize in 2004.
He worked at Zaha Hadid Architects on projects such as The Opus, the Dubai building, Eleftheria Square in Nicosia, Cyprus, etc. (2006-2008). In 2008 he joined CSKR Architects and Associates, and in 2010 he became a partner at Skroumbelos c + ph Architects and Associates.
Projects that he designed include museums, theatres, housing complexes, urban developments, hotels, office buildings, master plans, etc. Such as the new archaeological museum at Chalkida, the new archaeological museum at Heraklion, Crete, the New Theatre of Larissa city, private houses, restaurants, and more.
