Joan Gener González

Joan Gener González holds a Master’s in Architecture degree from the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB), UPC, with an outstanding qualification on his Final Thesis. He was an exchange student at EPFL, where he took project courses in Lausanne and Basel under the guidance of Harry Gugger from Herzog & de Meuron.

He was awarded a two-year scholarship to collaborate with the Urban Planning Department at ETSAB. His professional experience includes working in Geneva and in Barcelona with Enric Ruiz-Geli on the NOU BULLI project in Roses.

From 2014 to 2017, he collaborated with renowned chef Albert Adrià, contributing to the development of new projects across all stages—from conceptualization and budgeting to management and execution. His work includes the showroom for La Cala, Bodega 1900, and the Creative Workshop of elBarri. His most significant role was coordinating the ENIGMA restaurant project, designed by RCR Architects.

Adrià Orriols Camps

Adrià Orriols Camps holds a Master with Honours in Architecture at the School of Architecture of Barcelona, ETSAB, UPC. 

Since 2012, he has been part of the José Antonio Martínez Lapeña and Elías Torres studio, leading key projects since 2014, including the CASA VICENS restoration (Gaudí, World Heritage), MURALLAS DE PALMA, TORRES DEL TEMPLE, Ronda de Dalt coverage, Lluis Clotet exhibition, Plaça de les Glòries (finalist), OLD BORSÍ rehabilitation (1st prize, 2018), and Palma Mallorca Seafront Promenade (1st prize).

He has collaborated in several ETSAB publications : Bases for the Project I -II and Landscape Architecture 1977-1995. He won the 1st prize for Pasatjes Metropolitans.

Miquel Ruiz Planella

Master’s in Architecture with Honours from the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB), UPC. He was awarded the Best Final Thesis Award (2015–2016) at ETSAB, UPC, leading to his participation in Archiprix and the UNESCO-UIA & MIDO Student Design Prize for Responsible Architecture. He completed his fifth year of architecture studies at Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) and pursued postgraduate studies in Business and Administration at UPF.

In practice, he has collaborated with Jordi Garcés-de Seta-Bonet, contributing to projects such as the competition for “El Salón de Reinos” at Museo del Prado. He also worked with Jaime Prous Architects and assisted the Department of Urban Planning (DUOT, ETSAB, UPC) as an external collaborator.

His interest in architectural theory earned him a scholarship to collaborate with the Theory Department at ETSAB under Professor Toni Ramon, later working with him on the “Observatory of Theatres at Risk”. He was also invited to Bauhaus Dessau by Roger Bundschuch to speak on Clubbing Architecture.

As part of his Master’s in Theory and History of Architecture at ETSAB, UPC, his research, Entre dos Mundos: Fuentes e Imaginarios del Espacio como Membrana, received Cum Laude distinction and explores themes central to H3O’s practice.

h3o aims to create spaces that transcend the ordinary, fostering meaningful connections among people, contexts and nature. At the intersection of fantasy and theory, their projects weave new spatial and social possibilities that address contemporary challenges in architecture.
