Parikshat Hemrajani
Parikshat Hemrajani is a design entrepreneur and tech consultant with a strong foundation in engineering and business. He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in computer & electrical engineering and embarked on a successful career in technology consulting with Accenture, based in their New York office. During his eight years at Accenture, Parikshat worked with clients such as Microsoft, Telstra, Verizon, Redhat, and Ricoh, providing cutting-edge technology solutions across the USA, Australia, and India.
Driven by a passion for further growth and innovation, Parikshat pursued an MBA from the prestigious Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad. This led him to venture into the entrepreneurial world, where he founded Dwll.in in 2012. Dwll.in was a pioneering platform that seamlessly connected interior designers with clients, establishing itself as a first mover in the interior design tech space. The platform’s success attracted the attention of Livspace, which acquired Dwll.in, marking a significant milestone in Parikshat’s career.
Following a year at Livspace, Parikshat channeled his expertise and vision into founding Hipcouch, a company dedicated to providing premium interior design & build solutions. Since its inception, Hipcouch has successfully completed over 300 projects, building a reputation for excellence and innovation in the interior design industry. With a dedicated team of 40+ professionals and investment from angels and strategic investors, Hipcouch continues to lead the market in delivering top-tier interior design and build solutions.
For Parikshat, the most rewarding aspect of running his firm is the flexibility it offers and the interesting people he meets along the way. He cherishes the autonomy to experiment and make critical decisions that shape the company’s direction and success. Ridhi Agarwal
Ridhi Agarwal’s journey in architecture and design is nothing short of extraordinary. Fresh out of her undergraduate studies in architecture at The School of Architecture and Planning, she embarked on her professional path in Chennai. Here, she navigated the demanding world of architectural practice, honing her skills and gaining invaluable experience. Her insatiable curiosity and drive for excellence led her to pursue a master’s degree in construction management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research, perfectly blending her passion for design with the technical rigors of project management.
Relocating to Mumbai, Ridhi immersed herself in project management consultancy with a focus on high-rise buildings. She thrived in this environment, managing multiple projects, tight deadlines, and intricate designs. This role sharpened her technical prowess and exposed her to the complexities of managing large-scale construction projects, laying a strong foundation for her future entrepreneurial ventures.
Ridhi’s entrepreneurial leap is a testament to serendipity and bold decision-making. While excelling in project management, she was offered the chance to design a living room—a small project with significant potential. She embraced this opportunity with excitement and delivered spectacular results, instilling in her the confidence to thrive as an independent designer. With her husband’s support, Ridhi launched her own studio in 2016, a thrilling and nerve-wracking decision that marked the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey.
Joining Hipcouch as a consultant in 2017, Ridhi brought her unique flair and expertise to the team. Balancing her consultancy with Hipcouch projects, she made a significant impact, leading to her full-time involvement and eventual role as co-founder in 2019. As a co-founder and designer, Ridhi’s success is anchored in her discipline and exceptional time management skills. Her ability to deliver projects on time and her unwavering commitment to quality have been instrumental in Hipcouch’s success.
Looking ahead, Ridhi envisions continued growth and excellence for Hipcouch. She aims to solidify the company’s position in the design and build industry, focusing on larger and more complex projects while fostering a culture of creativity and efficiency within the team.
