Ivan Vinicio Jimenez Cordero

He is an architect who graduated in 2017 with a master’s degree in social housing from UTPL. Currently, he is a faculty member in the Architecture program at UIDE. His interests have focused on rurality, self-construction, periphery, and informal settlements, exploring these topics through travel and photographic documentation. This experience has allowed him to understand construction logic in contexts of scarcity and, based on this knowledge, innovate in the field of architecture through the application of experimental processes.

Once this context is understood, it is crucial to identify the local tools available to address these challenges, considering materials, social resources, and the capacities of the environment.

Their approach is based on asking the right questions to develop precise and efficient solutions. This process is supported by cartographic readings of the territory, social analyses, models, and project drawings, ensuring a comprehensive and contextually grounded response.
