Adam Jung
Adam Jung graduated from Brno University of Technology, majoring in Architecture and Urban Development. In addition to an internship at ADEPT studio in Copenhagen, he studied for one semester at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Architecture. For a while, he cooperated with MASPARTI studio in Šternberk, but then he decided to move back to Brno and started working at CHYBIK + KRISTOF. During his 5 years there, he worked on dozens of projects, including the construction of Lahofer Winery under his direction.
Barbara Jung
While studying architecture at Brno University of Technology, Barbara travelled to Vienna, where she worked in the office of Christian Kronaus, assistant to Zaha Hadid. After graduation, she collaborated on the creation of a new furniture brand in Petr Korecký’s studio, where she got to grips with solid wood and metal elements. She gained further experience by working with landscape architects in studio PARTERO.
Practice Ideology
JUNG architekti consists of architects, partners, and regular people. The architects had gathered experience on their own in various architectural studios. Since 2019, they have been evolving together. Each of their projects has to speak for itself—it must be inspired and have a zest that is very hard to describe, but you can feel it when it is there. Being young, it’s their second nature to experiment, play, and break down stereotypes. However, they seek to retain this energy even when the first wrinkles and grey hair start appearing.
They ask and listen attentively. At the beginning of each project, they inquire about clients’ habits, preferences, and life rhythms. The information gathered is then transformed into shapes, spaces, colors, and materials. When clients see the results of their work, they hope to hear, “This is exactly what we wanted, but we would never have thought of this solution ourselves.”
How many times in your life will you have to think about what you want your house or business to look like? Probably just once, twice at most, and that is why you should enjoy it as much as possible. JUNG architekti will make sure clients enjoy the entire process, as well as the result. After all, it is them who will get to live in it.
