Kasturi Wagh
Energetic, overzealous and selectively extrovert is how Kasturi
sees herself. Kasturi is an architect and graduated with a Master of Science in Architecture degree from the Pratt Institute, New York with Distinction/ Honours in 2020. She also holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Mumbai, L.S. Raheja School of Architecture.
From building Lego structures as a child to working in
numerous architecture and interior design firms, Kasturi has
found architecture and design to be her true calling. Passionate about design, she looks at it as a medium to solve problems of the ‘new’ world with a keen eye towards discovering and working with novel materials and textures.
Vineet Hingorani
A forte in design, a high degree of attention to detail and striving for perfection in every task he deals with are Vineet’s strengths. Originally from Mumbai, India, Vineet graduated with a Distinction/Honours and a Master of Science in Architecture degree from the Pratt Institute, New York in 2020, where his research directive questioned the role of design in the anthropocene era. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Mumbai via L. S. Raheja School of Architecture in 2017 and has experience working in the realm of architecture, interior and urban design. He has an avid interest in phenomenology in design and looks to expand and gain further insight into the subject with each project.
Practice Ideology
Architecture is the cause and effect of anything and everything one can feel. Sharp lines, smooth curves, rough edges, and voids—each element births a unique thought that seamlessly glides from one node to another, resulting in an explosion of emotions within. To them, that is architecture—a sensuous Sufi poem recited by a raggedy saint.
“We believe architecture is the manifestation of the five senses in a built form. It lives within us and takes the form of our alter egos. As such, architecture forms the third and most important pillar on which we build this collaborative.”
The process of creating and making something, may it be a product, a furniture piece, a room, or a building, is one that cannot be done alone. Rather than single-handedly steering the design towards an end goal, they believe in the idea of collaborating with different people and stakeholders each project brings to jointly produce work that creatively and functionally works in everyone’s interest.
