PRÁCTICA was founded by Jaime Daroca, José Mayoral and José Ramón Sierra while working together at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Their broad international professional experiences throughout Switzerland, UK, USA, Chile and Spain, and collaboration with firms such as Herzog & de Meuron, David Chipperfield Architects, Rafael Moneo, e2a Architekten, Tod Williams Billie Tsien, Sergison
Bates Architects and Ábalos-Sentkiewicz, project a global view on their works of various scales and programs.
The firm is currently formed by a diverse and multidisciplinary team of professionals with experts in architecture, urbanism and design with an international profile. Their different perspectives and experiences contribute to building a stimulating design environment that generates creative and unexpected responses. Among its most relevant projects, in addition to the regeneration of the banks of the Somes, include 125 social housing units in Seville and the Manzana Verde urban complex in Malaga, Spain, both of which are the result of public competitions. PRÁCTICA’s work has been exhibited and published in several international institutions such as the MoMA in New York, the
Venice, Spain, Chile and Romania Architecture Biennials, the Lisbon Architecture Triennial, Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Columbia University GSAPP and the University of Seville, among others.
PRÁCTICA combines the practice of the profession with an active academic role through teaching and research at Universidad Politécnica de Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Harvard University GSD, Columbia University GSAPP, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
