Seeder no:1, Ar.D. Dinesh is a huge nature lover who graduated in 2023. With 2.5 years of freelancing experience, he founded his own architecture firm, “Seeders,” based out of pondicherry. He has also interned at the well-known architecture firm “Lijo Reny Architects, Thissur” and worked part-time at “Ovoid Atelier, Pondicherry.” He has preferred to learn architecture in the most practical way possible and continues to learn through his own practice each and every day. His lifelong goal is to spread biophilic architecture to the masses of India, for which he and his friends have started an Instagram page, namely “biophilism.india,” to spread the movement, and “seeders” will soon become the pioneers of biophilia in India.
Practice Ideology
As the name suggests, “Seeders” is a firm that propagates and breathes biophilic design in all aspects. Their philosophy, inspiration, and goal are all oriented towards bringing nature back into habitable spaces and making people understand the benefits of living amidst nature. Humans evolved from nature, but as time went by, we got disconnected from nature in this fast-paced world. There are several studies that prove that spending time in nature has loads of health benefits.
Hence their philosophy: nature is God, and God is nature. They strive to bring in nature in all possible ways, blurring the outdoor and indoor boundaries. Their goal is to improve the quality of lives of all their clients and create a positive impact on society so that biophilism (the movement of biophilic architecture) flourishes. When all buildings house a mini-forest in them, it will create a cool microclimate to enjoy our lives, and on a macro scale, this is a small effort to cool our planet and delay global warming.
