Umang Shah
Umang Shah is the Founder and Principal of Umang Shah and Associates, established in 1996 in Ahmedabad. He is a graduate of CEPT University and Domus Academy, Milan, bringing both academic depth and global exposure to his work.
His experience includes serving as a Design Consultant at ISRO’s Space Application Centre and as Visiting Faculty at CEPT University (2009–2012). The studio follows an interdisciplinary methodology, supported by a team with diverse professional expertise. Umang’s practice emphasizes research, new materials and technologies, and the use of earthy colors and organic forms in design. Many of the firm’s projects have been featured in leading design publications, reflecting its thoughtful and exploratory approach.
