Project Description

[Text as submitted by architect] The renovation of Palazzo Mazzini in Montebelluna aims to restore dignity to a historic building in the heart of the city, transforming it into an elegant and contemporary presence capable of dialoguing with the urban context while remaining consistent with the existing fabric. The intervention stands out for its careful design of common spaces, conceived as bright, orderly, and functional places.

Light-colored surfaces, generous circulation areas, and staircases with slender railings and handrails contribute to creating welcoming environments and fluid connections between the residential units.

On the exterior, the balance between light façades, powder-blue shutters, and sand-colored frames defines a sober yet distinctive image, reinforced by coordinated railings and architectural details. The design approach focuses on measured proportions, the rhythm of openings, and visual lightness, allowing the building to integrate respectfully into the historic center.

One apartment was fully custom-designed, with bespoke furniture and finishes that extend the architectural language indoors, ensuring coherence between form, function, and material. The intervention thus represents an example of urban regeneration where residential quality and attention to detail come together to create a new balance between past and present.
