[Text as submitted by architect] Anchored in a 900 sq. ft. square plan, the Millennium Office opens to the city through two generous windows that frame expansive views. The brief was simple yet demanding: create an office that feels airy and warm while accommodating 12 staff members, a conference room, an accountant’s cabin, and a director’s office. Storage was to be maximized, yet the space needed to retain a sense of openness and ease.
The response was to treat the office as four interwoven zones, each carefully defined yet visually connected. Storage became more than function — it was employed as a tool to sculpt privacy, guiding the flow of space without enclosing it. Glass partitions stitched the layout together, bringing lightness and clarity, while ensuring that transparency and airiness remained the defining qualities of the workplace.
Materiality plays a quiet but powerful role in shaping the atmosphere. Glass panels invite daylight to sweep across the floor, while curved wooden frames and grid-like partitions soften geometry with warmth and tactility.
The reception and waiting area, wrapped in a wooden lattice, sets the tone before unfolding into a balanced layout of collaboration and focus. Linear desks encourage teamwork, low partitions keep the workspace orderly, and storage is seamlessly woven in.
At the core, the director’s office and conference room carry a bespoke character — the conference table, a monolithic matte stone slab with a delicate inlay that doubles as a channel for technology, anchors the room with quiet gravitas.
