[Text as submitted by architect] In creating the design for Studio Figment’s latest project, their objective was to transcend fleeting trends and create an enduring ambiance for a cafe that stands the test of time. Their design ethos revolves around timelessness, avoiding transient trends and fads. A neutral putty color palette provides a versatile canvas across walls and ceilings, allowing the cafe owner to personalize and adapt the space according to evolving needs and preferences.

Celebrating at The Native Inc., the architects have meticulously curated three distinct seating zones, each tailored for specific conversations and connections:

Bethak Area: A captivating enclave where low ceilings embrace camaraderie. Interlocking tables seamlessly expand seating, inviting lively gatherings. Here, stories unfold, laughter echoes, and connections flourish.

Verandah Vibes: Step onto our verandah, a portal to the city’s pulse. As seasons shift, witness the streets’ ever-changing tapestry—the hustle, the rhythm, the soul. Winter warmth and monsoon melodies await.

Cozy Haven: Beyond the bustling, discover this sanctuary—a private nook cocooned in warmth. Soft wall lamps dance, casting intimate glows. Here, conversations deepen, dreams take flight, and memories linger. The seating area is a celebration of the beauty found in imperfections. The unevenness and rough textures of materials is embraced, creating an atmosphere that exudes authenticity and character. This deliberate choice adds depth and charm to the overall design.

The careful selection of materials such as teak wood and upholstered leather complements the warm wall tones, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Warmth extends beyond materials to the carefully curated lighting. Wall lamps, strategically placed, add a soft glow to the surroundings, creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The interplay of light and shadow enhances the overall sensory experience.

The coffee bar extends beyond the traditional confines, pulling outside to create an inviting social space for patrons to gather and engage. Additionally, a verandah at the front of the cafe establishes a connection with the outdoors, offering a communal space for patrons to enjoy the pleasant weather.

This design is not just a space; it is an invitation to savor the beauty of imperfection and relish the richness of the present moment.
