Excerpt: Wasp House, designed by Tropical Space, provides a bright and lively living environment despite its compact size and dense surroundings. The residence is emphasised by a unique staircase that doubles as a nook for growing flowers, reading, or unwinding. Sunlight floods the interior through a glass roof and brick walls with strategically placed openings, resulting in an intimate yet emotionally rich living space.

The house is emphasised by the unique stair, which is not only used as a stair itself but also as a corner for planting some flowers, reading books, or just simply sitting down and relaxing. The house is full of sunlight, with the glass on the roof and the brick wall arranged with holes. Sunlight with the rustic brick creates a close living space with a variety of emotions.

The gate and fence are designed simply with metal grilles in order to plant the vines. These vines will cover the facade of the house later on and help to filter the dust out. To save the cost, the architects simplify the details, materials, and furniture, as well as optimize the functional spaces and reduce the height of each floor. The design team seeks to bring a bright and lively living space to this neighborhood, with the notion that a beautiful house is not only for the high-income people.
