Andrea López
She is an architect from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Merit Medal 2011), with a stay at the University of Austin, Texas, and a semester at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She completed a Master’s degree in Architecture, City, and Territory at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
She began her professional career in the urban-architectural field through public practice at the Public Space Authority during the management of Architect Felipe Leal, where she notably contributed to coordinating executive drawings for the project surrounding the Basilica of Guadalupe in CDMX.
In the private sector, she worked as a workshop leader at Taller Estudio Central with architect Daniel Escotto for two years. She then collaborated with Rafael Ponce, Michel Rojkind, Ambrosi-Etchegaray, and Inocente Colectivo, coordinating teams for project development in all stages, specializing in executive project coordination.
In 2016, she co-founded Amasa Estudio with architect Agustín Pereyra, with whom she has developed several projects, overseeing everything from the conceptual proposal to the coordination of executive projects, as well as construction execution and management.
Agustín Pereyra
He began his studies at the University of the Republic (Montevideo, Uruguay) for two semesters and completed his architecture degree at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, graduating in 2001. His professional career began at Isaac Broid’s studio in 1999, where he played a key role in two mid-high-income housing buildings in the Condesa neighborhood, working on the executive projects and coordinating the execution of the models. At the newly established “Fabrica de Arquitectura” by architects Miquel Adria, Isaac Broid, and Michel Rojkind, he contributed to the coordination and execution of architectural projects, including notable ones like the Videoteca Nacional in Prados de Coyoacán, CDMX, La Casa Fuentes y La Casa Rangel in Saayavedra, EDOMEX.

Practice Ideology
AMASA Estudio’s vision starts by understanding design through three tangible scales: objects as interactive tools, architecture as an integrative object, and the city as a connector of these relationships.
They aim to build ideas within a context where the relationship between reweaving content and reinventing containers can always be questioned.
This critical thinking inevitably leads them to define each design product through respect for the forms that determine not only the urban architectural context but also those that shape culture and society.
