Practice Ideology
The name Impare in Portuguese means something indivisible by two, suggesting something single, different, and also the inverse of inertia [in + stop], i.e., movement. The insignia Impare was created in 2001 to establish the firms Impare Produções and Impare Planeamento by three co-founders. In 2004, there was a change in quotas among members, with Impare Produções, after having two members, changing its name to Impare Architecture and considering the activity of architectural design in its corporate purposes.
In 2009, this new company became solely owned, running exclusively under the management of the architect Paulo Seco. From that date, under his sole responsibility, Impare Architecture has continued its project activity with architecture and design, having recently won, among the various projects developed, the 1st prize in the National Furniture Design in 2010 and, in 2012, the 2nd prize in the Project for the Rehabilitation of Tropical Botanical Greenhouses of the Garden, University of Coimbra. Impare Architecture confirms itself as a studio with consolidated experience and, like everything in life, seeks the impossible.
