Project Description
[Text as submitted by architect] Located on the edge of a golf course, this residence was designed to enhance the open view and integration with the landscape. In response to the owner’s desire for a single-story home, the project focuses on light and contemporary architecture, with large, integrated spaces facing the landscape.
The horizontal structure is based on a layout that emphasizes spatial fluidity and a constant dialogue between indoors and outdoors. On one side, the living areas open to the gardens; on the other, to the golf course.
Large glass panels ensure transparency, cross ventilation, and abundant natural light, blurring the boundaries between the interior and exterior spaces. Wooden sliding panels allow the TV room and kitchen to be closed off when needed. The kitchen includes a skylight, allowing natural light even when enclosed.
Natural materials like stone and wood take center stage, bringing warmth, texture, and timelessness to the composition. The wooden slatted ceiling runs throughout the social area, reinforcing the unity and horizontality of the project, while the 4-meter cantilevered veranda enhances the lightness of the structure. The wood decking was dehydrated to maintain the light color palette in harmony with the travertine marble flooring.
In the private area, the children’s and master suites face the golf course view. Perforated aluminum brise-soleils provide privacy while still allowing light and views. The carefully curated furniture combines signature pieces by prominent Brazilian designers, works of art, and objects of refined selection, creating a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere.
This home was designed as a space for hosting—friends, family, and meaningful moments. In the gourmet area, a 9-meter table is supported by a wine cellar, refrigerated counters, a stove, a barbecue, and an oven.
The L-shaped floor plan fosters social interaction, with the living areas integrated with the kitchen, gourmet area, balcony, patio with pool, and deck. Sauna, spa, and gym complete the layout, reinforcing its leisure- and wellness-oriented character. More than just a country house, this is a contemporary retreat where architecture, landscape, and quality of life intertwine in harmony and elegance.
