Portello Colmarion Restoration, a conservation architecture project by Studio Bressan, seeks to improve general public perception of a historic portal. In keeping with the restoration efforts made to the walls in recent decades, its link with the city was favoured to the romantic notion of the old walls. The restoration also entailed redefining the bicycle and pedestrian paths and resurfacing the river pebble pavement below the gateway.
The Off-Grid Guest House by Anacapa was designed with the goal to improve the property’s ecological integrity rather than further deteriorate it, with the least possible negative effects on the ecosystem. In an effort to blur the line between the built and the unbuilt, the house was designed like a glass peninsula, with three-way operable glass walls that summon various ocean and canyon vistas.

The Four Cornered Villa by Avanto Architects Ltd. is a residence with a simplistic cross-like design that extends in four separate directions. There are three views of the lake and a nice forest to the west instead of the single orientation that is conventional. In contrast to traditional Finnish cottages, the main objective was to showcase a sustainable dwelling as an example.
The Northeast Commemorative Gate is an installation by atArchitecture that is designed like a vaulted void with a cube aligned with the four cardinal directions. Giving the gate a dynamic shape, the bamboo lattice cube intersects the vault at an angle consistent with the existing road. Built by experienced craftsmen from the area, the architecture is a testament to the history of bamboo construction, which is widespread throughout all of NER.

Manoj Patel Design Studio’s Renovation of House is a residential project that incorporates contemporary modulations within the same space while keeping costs to a minimum. The house creates a connection between the new and old structural grids by adding a number of punctures. The design provides possibilities for visually open spaces while addressing problems inside a building mass by incorporating colourful graphics.
The Sinèrgics’ Coworking Space in Barcelona is an interior design project by Midori Arquitectura that separates the space into two more manageable, distinct zones that can be used simultaneously. The thick sound-absorbing drapes give the coworkers and their visitors privacy and acoustic comfort. When the curtains are folded, a single open space is created to allow larger parties or different activities.
The Panteo dos Almeida project by Spaceworkers aims to adapt and requalify the interior of an old church while abiding by the strict rules established by the entities that oversee the modification. For the intervention to not overshadow the historical grandeur of the existing, it had to be entirely reversible and limited. An intervention with an ethereal, subdued aesthetic was taken into account in order to achieve this.
Blu Dot Showroom by Waechter Architecture is an interior design project for a furniture firm which was constructed inside a historic warehouse and intended to maintain the character of the original structure while presenting a freshly created intervention in the form of a showroom environment. The intervention, which was envisioned as a handmade object incorporated into the structure, is located separate from the current structural framework.
Suzhou Chapel by Neri&Hu Design and Research Office is a religious architecture whose language is inspired from components present elsewhere in the project such as the undulating brick walls and floating white bulk, but it elevates them to a new degree of expression. As the various wall heights entwine with one another to create a carefully organised landscape trip leading to the actual structure, the brick walls begin to disintegrate at a finer scale.
Wutopia Lab’s Deep Time Palace is a contemporary expressionist sanctuary that doubles as an art gallery and liberates its visitors’ souls from the relentless grip of time in daily life. The goal was to start by establishing the underground structure as a “depth” reference. By introducing an enormous scale that would confuse spectators, the architect also aimed to question the conventional idea of a linear timeline.
The U/U studio’s project, Skatepark Řeporyje, is a landscape design project aiming to create a beautiful and safe public area for all age groups and social classes. The layout mixes an outdoor movie theatre, a skatepark, a pump track, picnic tables with grills, and a wooden stage for events. Sculptures that work closely with the layout and other elements of the sports complex enable an unexpected link between action and art.
The residence, Casa VI was designed by Primer Piso Arquitectos with a form that satisfies the need to link the most important parts of the house with the surrounding piedmonte. The house had to be built on a single story, and the main bedroom and living room both had to have views of the mountain as defining requirements for the project. Floating National Park on Wetlands is an Architecture Thesis by Guido Farabollini from Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo – UNL, Argentina, which explores the concept of floating architecture to encourage the change in relationship between CONSTRUCTION and WATER. The goal is to dispel the notion that water is a threat to architecture, by proposing a design that can blend in with the surrounding environment with the use of practical building techniques.
The residence, Casa Fragata by Estudio Galera is a closed monovolume built 4 metres above street level. The empty area beneath the volume was designed to allow for “freer” and more feasible functions outdoors. The staircase core separates the public and private spaces, keeping all of the house’s covered activities in a box upstairs.The house offers expansive views of the first floors of the nearby homes from every room as it is totally open to the north.
Brainium Studios by Hacker Architects is an office interior design project for a modestly branded workplace that creates a welcoming and visually pleasing experience while leaving room for the unexpected. A space that supports the health and well-being of staff with an intuitive, rational flow, a simple material palette, and superb acoustics and lighting were some of the primary directives.
The architectural project 3 Hoefe by Tchoban Voss is conceived as a work-life building ensemble, providing for a roughly equal mixture of residential and work uses. 3 Hoefe (Three Courtyards) is a lively, independent quarter entirely in keeping with the courtyard architecture typical of mid-19th-century Berlin. The buildings are grouped around three green inner courtyards of different designs.
Cotaparedes Arquitectos’ architectural design for the Avila Pavilion is a space with a capacity for 200 people, used to hold a range of events. The structure of the Pavilion was modulated using the standard measurements of the materials to be used, such as steel, aluminum, glass, and sheet cover, to be as environmentally conscious as possible while also making efficient use of the resources available to facilitate its execution.
Cha Angadi by Int-Hab Architecture + Design Studio is a stand-alone structure in mild steel, making it easier to dismantle and reinstall at will. When not in use, the framework can be completely closed, giving it the appearance of a container. The architectural principles of contrast, rhythm, and repetition are used to visualize every component of the design, which brilliantly combines to produce a modern and creative outlet.
Unniyettan’s Home by Nestcraft Architecture is a residence based on minimalist architecture that uses simplicity to create a unique space. Carefully chosen angles, materials, and natural lighting are used to create the highest visual impact with the least number of items. Suiyue Art by DA Integrating Limited is an interior design undertaking for an art venue that tells the tale of Chengdu’s enduring artistic life. To make the new space grow from the old structure using a minimalist approach, the designers developed the notion of “bamboo” growing from the ground in consideration of the negative conditions of too many columns and too long passages on the project site.
