The whole apartment is a scene composed of objects in different layers, which change due to the all-day process of being in space. Seingsu Wave | JYA-RCHITECTS

Seingsu Wave, designed by JYA-RCHITECTS, transforms a multi-family house into a commercial space while keeping its identity intact. A double-skin method was utilized to create a transparent, open interior, while a multi-exterior layer method was used to preserve privacy. Two different functional needs of blocking the view from the neighbors while allowing openness towards the sky were fulfilled using curved forms.

Grotius Towers | MVRDV

Grotius Towers, designed by MVRDV, crumbles asymmetrically at the uppermost levels and creates a characteristic landscape of stacked terraces. A change in colour and material gives the crowns an extra accent, with a sustainable bamboo composite on the terraces and the façades. While the apartments in the Grotius Towers vary in rent and size, even the smallest corner apartment offers beautiful views, with large windows realised in each apartment.
